MMDSA Social: Bouldering at Memphis Rox

Join the Memphis Midsouth DSA as we welcome members and supporters for an afternoon of climbing and camaraderie!
On Sunday, April 13 from 2 – 4 p.m., our chapter will be holding a climbing social at Memphis Rox
What will we be doing?
- We are kicking off this ongoing opportunity for members and supporters of the chapter to socialize and build community while tackling climbing challenges together
- This first hangout will be guided by chapter members with climbing experience, with a focus on bouldering – learn how to safely fall and downclimb
How much does this even cost?
- The MMDSA chapter will cover entry for the first 20 attendees. Additional attendees will follow the pay-what-you-can expectations of Memphis Rox
What should I wear to climb?
- Comfortable exercise clothes with stretch so you can reach for your next hold – if possible, wear red! You will be asked to wear climbing shoes that can be borrowed from Memphis Rox if you do not have a pair
Do I need to be an experienced climber?
- Not at all!
Can I bring a friend? What if they’re not a member?
- We would love to welcome any and all “DSA-curious” attendees to learn more about the chapter, vent about the state of the world, and build connections to your fellow lefties. We also welcome you to bring your families, including children!
