May Day Rally & Action

On May Day, thousands of organizations and communities across the country are taking action to defend working families and our democracy. In Memphis, your chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America will be united with our allies on May 1st at Alonzo Weaver Park for our May Day Rally and Action at 5 PM. At the rally, we will call on local politicians to stand with the people, not with billionaires like Elon Musk and corporations like xAI, who are poisoning our community and failing our economy. 

Together we are demanding that our politicians:

• Put Workers Over Billionaires: Qe want to expand democracy for working families, not corporate greed. 
• Put Kids Over Corporations: We want fully-funded public schools, not private hand-outs to billionaires.
• ICE Out & End The Occupation: No private army serving the wealthy elite and separating families.
• Put People Over Profit: Shut down the xAI methane gas turbines and stop poisoning our community members.
